Giving Tuesday is a generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
This year, JazzArts Charlotte is making our biggest commitment yet. As the kickoff to our only annual fundraising event, our goal is to reach $5000 in gifts by December 1st.
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Following Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, this day is set aside for gifts to our communities in need. Over the years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
in Charlotte, #GivingTuesdayCLT is an unprecedented collaboration of hundreds of Charlotte nonprofits as well as corporations, local businesses, community organizations and individuals coming together through good. This celebration of generosity has influenced more than $28M in value for Mecklenburg County nonprofits,
This year, Share Charlotte, the host of GivingTuesdayCLT, shares a special message of hope.
Regardless of our circumstances, 2020 has forced us all to pause.
Pause to reflect. Pause to reprioritize. Pause to reimagine. Pause to reevaluate. Pause to understand. Pause to empathize.
On December 1st, #GivingTuesdayCLT is an opportunity to hit play and come together to take action for our community. We invite you to give to a local nonprofit in a way that matters most to you – through your time, talent, dollars, network, or influence. Generosity looks different for us all. This #GivingTuesdayCLT, be generous and share. Charlotte-Mecklenburg needs you.
Our goal: To Keep the Music Playing
For Giving Tuesday 2020, facing our community’s greatest needs, JazzArts Charlotte is making our biggest commitment yet. As the kickoff of our only fundraiser of the year, we are excited to announce a #GivingTuesday matching gift challenge of $5,000. Every dollar contributed by the end of December 1st will be matched by a generous donor, doubling your gift.
By the end of the year, our goal is to reach a total of $15,000 to keep the music playing for our musicians, educators, and students, the future of jazz
Since March, JazzArts Charlotte has invested in online programming with a purpose much broader than continuing to offer music. We have been committed to continue creating jobs for musicians and educators. Rather than cutting back, we have actually offered more programs than ever before.
Please join us for #GivingTuesdayCLT, the global movement of giving in which, together, we demonstrate our commitment to our neighbors. Donate here by December 1st.
All contributions are valuable, no matter the amount.
All gifts are tax-deductible.
