Today is #GivingTuesdayNOW! This global day of giving was created as an immediate response to the unprecedented need caused by this current COVID-19 crisis. It offers an opportunity for us to join communities around the world and show support for our pockets of need.
Musicians, students, and audiences need the healing power of music more than ever.
While JazzArts Charlotte live programs have temporarily halted, we haven’t. Our mission to support jazz through education, performance, and musician support is just shifting – to virtual. But that of course requires new efforts and resources.
Please, today, help us to fill the gap and get the music playing again.
JazzArts Charlotte believes in the power of music to change lives and is committed to sharing the gift of music with current and future generations. As a not-for-profit organization, JazzArts Charlotte relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to sustain our education and community outreach.
With your help, JazzArts Charlotte brings creative inspiration and cultural enrichment by exposing the community to the unique history and value of jazz, supports local musicians, and offers educational programs to students of all backgrounds and economic spectrums.
We believe in music for all.
Studies show that music education enhances students skills and achievement in all aspects of academia. Additionally, learning jazz lends to deeper skill development in leadership and creativity.
Sadly, with limited budgets, music programs are under-supported and fall to the bottom of the priority list in schools. Organizations like JazzArts Charlotte fill this gap.
- The JazzArts Academy provides opportunities in our schools and in our community for participants of all ages and abilities to find their pathway to music.
- Our concerts highlight the best jazz artists from the Charlotte region and beyond who engage the area’s most diverse audiences.
- The Affiliate Musicians program creates teaching and performance opportunities for professional musicians to engage the community through many programs.
Your support makes all of these things possible.
