Charlotte, NC – September 26, 2022 – JazzArts Charlotte (JazzArts) launches its 17th season of jazz in the Queen City this October with its highly acclaimed monthly series – The JAZZ ROOM @ The Stage Door Theater. This new season features an incredible lineup, the biggest production of the JAZZ ROOM in its history, and a recognition of the 100th month of JAZZ ROOM performance for the organization.

October 2022 — CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), in partnership with JazzArts Charlotte, announces the return of Ride with the Music, a free concert series featuring local performers at various CATS locations every Friday evening in October.

JazzArts Charlotte announces the return of award-winning Afro-Cuban Jazz star Pedrito Martinez to Charlotte to kick off their Hispanic Heritage Month themed programming.

JazzArts Charlotte is announcing the departure of Artistic Director Ocie Davis, who will leave the organization as full-time Artistic Director at the end of August 2022.

Beginning July 1, Lonnie Davis takes on a new role as President of the Board of Directors for the leading jazz organization in the world, the Jazz Education Network.
