JazzArts Charlotte new website wins International awards

July 2019 – JazzArts Charlotte launches a new award-winning website to celebrate 10 years of jazz in Charlotte. Showcasing a new name and look, this new mobile-friendly website highlights all the enriching ways JazzArts Charlotte has become part of the community.

Within three months of the launch, the new website received two coveted awards for non-profit website design/development: the Silver Muse Award and the Gold Hermes Award. The Silver Muse Award is an international competition that recognizes creative professionals who inspire through design. The Gold Hermes Award, judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, honors creators of traditional and emerging media. The JazzArts Charlotte site was distinguished for its brand strength as well as external and internal ease of use.

The JazzArts Charlotte website was built through the generous partnerships of both Arts and Science Council and Big Sushi, a local web development and digital marketing company. “We’re grateful that such a skilled organization shares our passion for bringing jazz to a broader community,” says Lonnie Davis, JazzArts Charlotte CEO. Big Sushi partners with clients to help tell their stories, and they believe that strong graphic design is critical.

In the past 10 years, JazzArts Charlotte has become known as the place to find good jazz in Charlotte. The company focuses on community enrichment through music education, live performances, and musician support. At this important milestone, the organization wanted a website that demonstrated the organizations fresh new brand and commitment to expanding into the next 10 years.

Big Sushi had exactly the expertise needed to bring JazzArts Charlotte’s vision to life digitally. “Big Sushi was so easy to work with, guiding us through the process and offering their technical and design expertise at every step.”
