The JazzArts Music Camp is an exciting one-week comprehensive music training program for students, grades 7-12, devoted to America's original art form: JAZZ. Students will be immersed in an intensive jazz curriculum and have the opportunity to interact and play with other motivated young musicians from across the Charlotte region. This jazz camp offers instruction from the nation’s leading professional jazz educators and internationally recognized performers. The JazzArts Music Camp curriculum includes: small combo performance, jazz improvisation, faculty concerts (each afternoon), jazz history and listening, jazz theory (basic to advanced), composition, master class instruction on bass, drums, guitar, piano, saxophone (all woodwinds), trombone and trumpet, and student jam sessions. ALL INSTRUMENTS ARE WELCOME. Special guest artists will join camp participants in a public concert performance at the end of camp. (Parents are encouraged to attend).
Students entering grades 7-12, with at least one (1) year experience in a school band or private music lessons are eligible.
Instruments: JazzArts Music Camp is open to saxophones (including ALL woodwind instruments), violins, trumpets, trombones, piano, bass, guitars, drums, and vocals.

Tuition for the JazzArts Summer Music Camp is $295.
Admission and Audition Requirements: All applicants must perform an audition in front of members of the JazzArts Camp faculty and administration. Before a placement audition is scheduled, each student must submit a completed application for admission.
Tuition is due at the time of registration. Full payment may be made by check, money order or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, with all payments running through a secure server.
Jazz Arts Initiative provides need-based tuition support to students based on the availability of funds. The financial aid application deadline for the 2018 summer camp program is June 1, 2018. Click here to access more information and application forms.
