Since our inception in 2009, JazzArts Charlotte® has been proud to continue our work as the premiere jazz organization in Charlotte with a focus on community enrichment through quality music education, performance excellence, and musician support.

“Music should be fun!” Thoughts from iliana Rose, Nuestro Tiempo Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble’s New Leader
We are thrilled to welcome iliana Rose as the new Director of our acclaimed newly introduced free, jazz education program, Nuestro Tiempo. Led by renowned Latin Jazz educators, Nuestro Tiempo students play repertoire in a Latin Jazz orchestra and learn fundamentals, Latin Jazz history and stage presence.

Our JazzArts Summer Camp Clinician – Marcus Strickland!
The JazzArts Academy is thrilled to announce saxophonist Marcus Strickland as the 2024 Summer Music Camp special guest clinician! Strickland has been on two Grammy-nominated recordings. In addition to his busy performance schedule, Strickland is an educator in the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, where is serves as Associate Professor of Practice.

Swing into the Weekend with the FREE “Ride with the Music” Jazz Concert Series
Thanks to a continuing partnership with The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), JazzArts Charlotte is bringing back Ride with the Music, a free concert series featuring local performers at various CATS locations on Friday evenings from October 13 through November 3.
