Trumpeter and Vocalist Jeremy Davenport, this month’s JAZZ ROOM headliner, spends an hour speaking to us about the New Orleans jazz scene, his experience playing with some of the most amazing jazz musicians worldwide, and his critically acclaimed albums.
Born to classical music performers and educators, Jeremy trained under Ellis Marsalis, traveled with Harry Connick, Jr.’s Big Band, and has performed at the Ritz Carlton NOLA for 22 years. A born entertainer, Davenport has appeared with Emeril Legasse, The David Letterman Show, GQ Magazine, Cosmo, and more. Jeremy has created several critically acclaimed albums, the latest 2009 “We’ll Dance ‘Til Dawn”.
