DESCRIPTION:Evocative baritone Milton Suggs gives vocal life and lyrics to jazz’s classic instrumentalists\, including Wayne Shorter\, Lee Morgan\, Roy Hargrove\, Bennie Golson\, Clifford Brown and more. \nThe voice of New York-based Milton Suggs has become a fixture within the Jazz community. Voted repeatedly a top 10 rising star male vocalist in Downbeat Magazine’s annual critcs’ poll\, he has produced four albums and tours internationally as both sideman and leader. Firmly rooted in the blues\, Milton sports a rich baritone with the breath and power reminiscent of Joe Williams and yet is able to emote with both the subtlety and soulful intensity of singers like Donny Hathaway and Frankie Beverly. As both a performer and composer it is the music\, spirit\, struggles\, triumphs\, and stories from the many generations that preceded him that make up the foundation upon which his own artistry stands. \nThe JAZZ ROOM provides a casual and intimate setting  reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear. \nNote: In following regional directives and venue protocols for the comfort and safety of attendees\, masks will be required at all times inside the Stage Door Theater. No food or beverage will be allowed.
