Our interactive events are the perfect chance for you to engage with the artists who are usually up on the stage and who’ll be happy to take your questions. \nNew Orleans born saxophonist Donald Harrison\, Jr. is a musician/composer who master musicians consider a master of every era of jazz\, soul\, funk\, and a composer of orchestral classical music. Harrison honed his experience playing with Roy Haynes\, Art Blakey\, Lena Horne\, McCoy Tyner\, Miles Davis\, The Notorious BIG\, and more. In the HBO drama Treme\, Emmy winning director David Simon created two characters to portray how Harrison innovated new styles of music. \nHarrison is a long-time friend of JazzArts Charlotte\, and this week\, we speak to him about some of the interesting experiences he has had through his extensive career. \nRegistration required for Zoom attendance.  You can also watch on Facebook Live.  If you have registered for prior Conversations with Curtis\, you can use your zoom link for the entire series and do not need to reregister. \n
