DESCRIPTION:After a week of immersion in the world of jazz\, enjoy an evening of favorite jazz standards performed by JazzArts Charlotte’s newest groups of middle and high school student jazz musicians. \nJazzArts Summer Music Camp was an exciting week of comprehensive music training for students motivated to delve into America’s original art form: jazz. Led by several of the region’s leading professional jazz educators\, students have together discovered music theory\, jazz history\, and active listening. They have experienced playing the techniques of rhythm\, chords\, and improvisation that make up jazz.
