DESCRIPTION:Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra bass virtuoso\, Carlos Henriquez makes his JAZZ ROOM Charlotte debut with his all-star ensemble\, Latin Algorithm\, performing high-energy rhythm-filled fusion of Latin and Modern Jazz with new compositions and selections from Henriquez’s most recent acclaimed albums. This is a special JAZZ ROOM in partnership with the Charlotte International Arts Festival and Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. \nA Bronx\, New York native\, Carlos Henriquez studied music at an early age\, beginning with guitar\, and later bass at a Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program. Shortly following high school\, Henriquez joined the Wynton Marsalis Septet and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra\, touring the world and featured on more than 25 albums. Henriquez has performed and recorded with artist including Chucho Valdes\, Tito Puente\, Danilo Perez\, Eddie Palmieri\, the Marsalis Family\, Willie Nelson\, Bob Dylan\, Stevie Wonder\, Lenny Kravitz\, Marc Anthony and many others.
