The 2011 JazzArts Music Camp provided fun-filled comprehensive music training for beginning through advanced music students. Participants from as far away as Greensboro, NC traveled to take part in this year's summer program. The students had the opportunity to learn from some of the top music educators/performers in the country and establish valuable relationships with other young musicians during this week of intensive summer jazz study.
The JazzArts Music Camp was topped off with a special clinic led by international jazz trombonist, composer, NEA Jazz Masters Award recipient Delfeayo Marsalis. Mr. Marsalis also performed with the camp participants in the Friday evening closing concert finale.
Here's what our 2011 JazzArts Music Camp participants had to say: “Monday [Day 1 of camp] was officially the BEST DAY I have had this year so far!” ~ 8th grader “This has been the best camp I have experienced.
